Gallery « Okochi sanso villa kyoto »

Okochi sanso is a superb garden that belonged to the Japanese movie star Ohkouchi Denjiro (1898-1962). He constructed a unique garden with a villa, south of Mount Ogura, over 30 years. Various pathways in different styles traverse the garden, offering intriguing detours and turns that show the space from different perspectives. This is Guy Maillot's favourite walking garden for its natural planting and original spatial design.
